UNDERSTANDING WESTERN MEN
A Lecture by Thomas Lipinski
Ph.D. (Psychology)
This two hour lecture is intended to help Asian women understand
the psychology of men in North America. It is specifically
designed for the members and friends of Stephanieˇs Singles
Community. The topics to be covered include:
1. How and why Western Men think the way they do.
2. Different types of Western Men.
3. How to identify a man-boy.
4. Problems with communication.
5. East meets West and the question of ¨Face.〃
6. Western Men can also learn about themselves!
There will be plenty of time for questions. If you have
some difficulty with your English then a Mandarin
interpreter will be provided.
Dr. Lipinski has extensive experience in working with and
lecturing about Masculine Psychology (the psychology of
men). He has also made numerous radio, television and print
interviews on this topic. He was licensed to practice psychology
in 1980 and he has over 25 years of clinical experience.
He is also a Western Man trying to develop his Eastern heart.
Dr. Lipinski moved to Vancouver from Edmonton in July, 2005.

Hike up Hollyburn Mountain / 雪靴远足 Snowshoe
rental is $18.75 for snowshoes and poles
Please meet at the Snowshoe Rental building at 11:30 am
so we can leave for the hike by 12:00 noon
By Car - From Downtown Vancouver take the Lions Gate Bridge
and follow the signs to Highway One
(via Taylor Way). Continue west, take Exit #8 onto Cypress
Bowl Rd. Follow this 3 lane, paved
highway for 13 kms (8 miles) turn right for Cross Country,
SnowShoeing and Snowtubing area.
Enjoy a 3.5 hour snowshoe tour. 3 hours of walking through
the snowy mountain forests. Be
prepared for changeable conditions with good winter boots,
layered outerwear, water repellent
jacket and pants, toque and gloves. Do not overdress wear
clothes that you
can remove in layers as you become too hot. Bring water
